The advance will be paid along with this month's benefit to more than 30 million policyholders.
The allowance will have two installments:
- Equivalent to 50% of the amount paid to the insured in the month of May;
- Corresponding to the other half paid in June, but with taxes charged.
Typically, retirees' 13th-month salary payments are paid between August and November. However, to mitigate the impact of COVID-19, the federal government brought forward payments this year, as it did in 2020.
INSS 13th salary
Most INSS retirees and pensioners will receive 50% of the amount in May. Only those who started receiving the benefit after January will have the installment calculated proportionally.
In the case of citizens who receive assistance for temporary disability, the advance payment will be calculated according to the duration of the benefit.
Therefore, INSS policyholders who receive assistance benefits, such as the Continuous Payment Benefit (BCP), are excluded from the benefit.
