2 – Failure to update registration information
Another reason that leads to the cancellation of Bolsa Família benefits is the lack of updated registration information, which is required every 2 years.
The reason for this is that the head of the household must update basic information, such as address, school, and income, with the government within the specified timeframe.
The notification regarding the registration update is sent directly through the Bolsa Família statement.
If it is not completed within the specified timeframe, the aid will be withheld and cannot be withdrawn.
3 - Withdrawal deadline exceeded
Once the Bolsa Família money is released, the beneficiary has 90 days to withdraw or use the funds.
Otherwise, the Ministry of Social Development will understand that the family does not need the benefit assistance and the termination will be automatic.
