In addition to this information, Caixa Econômica Federal also announced that companies with revenues of up to R$1,48 million per year can apply for this credit, which will be available for access from Wednesday (22) at agencies.
Therefore, registration can now be done through the financial institution's website.
Micro and small business owners, as well as individual entrepreneurs, who have negative credit ratings, will not be able to access this credit, according to Pedro Guimarães, president of Caixa.
"However, Caixa has other renegotiation options for companies and business owners with bad credit," he said.
Problems with access to credit
The Government had previously admitted that this group of entrepreneurs were having difficulty accessing credit lines.
After all, banks are raising interest rates and thus limiting the disbursement of funds due to default.
According to Caixa Econômica Federal, the credit lines have complementary guarantees that will be granted by Sebrae through the Guarantee Fund for Micro and Small Businesses (Fampe).
According to Carlos Melles, president of Sebrae, one of the biggest obstacles for small businesses in accessing credit is the requirement for guarantees requested by financial institutions.
Therefore, with Fampe's guarantee, small businesses will be able to obtain credit for working capital.
Although Caixa has established a value of R$7.5 billion, Carlos Melles, from Sebrae, announced that Fampe's guarantees, worth R$1 billion, will make it possible to leverage up to R$12 billion in loans.
Thus, Pedro Guimarães, president of Caixa, admitted that this credit line value could actually reach up to R$12 billion.
However, he added and highlighted that, for now, the expectation is up to R$ 7.5 billion.
