FGTS payments see the amounts released
In 2020, FGTS payments will be available for withdrawal. The anniversary withdrawal began in April, and the Severance Indemnity Fund (Fundo de Garantia por Tempo de Serviço) funds will be available for withdrawal at Caixa.

FGTS Payments: Anniversary Withdrawal
First, this FGTS withdrawal method came into effect this year and allows workers to withdraw the money deposited in the Guarantee Fund annually. The payment schedule was released by Caixa Econômica Federal, and the first withdrawals began in April.

In fact, the calendar mentioned above is only valid for the year 2020. Therefore, from the year 2021 onwards, people who opted for the birthday withdrawal will receive the money in the same month as their birthday.
It's important to note that when choosing the FGTS anniversary withdrawal option, you won't be able to withdraw the full balance if you're dismissed for cause. However, the 40% fine on the FGTS balance will be paid to the employee.
How much will the worker receive?
Second, the amounts to be withdrawn depend on the worker's balance in the Severance Indemnity Fund (Fundo de Garantia por Tempo de Serviço). Therefore, the installment varies between 5% and 50% of the money saved, along with a fixed annual amount, which will be calculated based on the account balance. How do I check my FGTS balance?
The amounts available for FGTS payments in 2020 are available on the Caixa Econômica Federal official website and via the mobile app. Simply register and enter your CPF or NIS/PIS/Pasep number along with your date of birth.
It is worth noting that workers who are account holders or savers of Box will automatically receive their FGTS funds in their account. Digital FGTS withdrawals are also available today, allowing non-account holders to transfer their available balance to another checking account.
