Third installment of aid begins to be paid on Saturday
Economy Minister Paulo Guedes announced on Thursday that the third installment of emergency aid will begin to be paid this Saturday (27).

"We are now on Saturday, paying another installment to 60 million Brazilians. From this coming Saturday until the following Saturday, 60 million will receive another one," he said.
The announcement of the third installment of emergency aid was made jointly with the current president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro (no party affiliation), during a live broadcast on a social network.
In addition, Bolsonaro announced that the government intends to pay three more installments of emergency aid in the amounts of R$ 500.00, R$ 400.00 and R$ 300.00, respectively.
The idea, according to Guedes, came from Jair Bolsonaro himself.
Initially, as is known, only three installments of the benefit were announced.
Therefore, as announced today, there will be six installments in total. The expansion, however, is subject to approval by the National Congress.
Without further details on what the new payments will be, Bolsonaro also said that emergency aid will undergo adjustments.
According to him, "the figures haven't been finalized yet, but we'll extend it for another two months. It will definitely be R$1,200 in three installments. We're considering R$500, R$400, and R$300 in two months."
According to Guedes, the initial R$ 600.00 was essential for many Brazilians to have assistance to “not drown in the first wave of health”, but that the gradual reduction is compatible with the resumption of economic activity.
“It’s a very good idea, because it was R$ 600.00 emergency aid and as the economy begins to recover, people will slowly get used to it,” he said.
No crowds for the third installment of aid
