The decision was published in the Official Gazette of the Union on Thursday (13). Proof of life has not been mandatory since March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the ordinance, starting in May, the routine of blocking benefits will return due to failure to re-register the password to receive the resources.
Starting in June, the blocking will be carried out in a staggered manner in the event of non-compliance with the proof deadlines.
How to do the proof of life?
Proof of life for beneficiaries can be done through facial biometrics, simply access the Meu INSS or Meu.gov.br app.
Beneficiaries can also appear in person at benefit-paying banks to provide proof of life.
However, this procedure will be carried out gradually and in stages according to the calendar published yesterday by the INSS.
