Due to the pandemic, some states and municipalities are releasing the Gas Voucher to families who are in a vulnerable situation and enrolled in the Bolsa Família program.

After all, the price of this product has increased significantly, so in some regions it is necessary to spend more than R$ 100.00 to have access to gas.
Therefore, the Government of Ceará created a program that provides gas to those who need it.
In the state, more than 130,000 vouchers were released to approximately 180 municipalities, with the help of the coordination of the Secretariat of Social Protection, Justice, Citizenship, Women and Human Rights (SPS).
The second batch will be released this month of May. Distribution will take place at the CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Centers) in each of the municipalities.
“Receiving the Gas Voucher at this time greatly helps the family budget. This help and support that the State Government offers to people is extremely important. This attention makes people feel welcomed and well cared for,” points out the Secretary of Labor and Social Assistance, Carla Ibiapina.
In total, more than 250,000 families will benefit, including those registered in the CadÚnico and Bolsa Família programs with an income of up to R$ 89.34 per month.
The gas price increase was a measure that emerged in 2020 to provide relief to the budgets of low-income families and was reinstated this year due to the worsening of the coronavirus pandemic.
The benefit is granted in partnership with Nacional Gás, which sells gas cylinders at cost price to the State Government.
