However, this initial phase will be a pilot project for 50 thousand candidates in 15 capitals, as reported by the MEC (Ministry of Education).
Currently, candidates will be asked to choose whether to take the test online or not at the time of registration. Therefore, the National Enem Exam is expected to be digital by 2026.
What will the test be like in 2020?
Second, as mentioned in the previous table, the online version of the test will be administered as a pilot in 2020. In other words, the choice of test delivery method will be optional for the candidate.
In fact, approximately 50,000 students will take the digital exams. They will take place in 15 capital cities:
- Bethlehem;
- Belo Horizonte;
- Brasilia;
- Campo Grande;
- Cuiabá;
- Florionópolis;

However, given the amount presented by the institution, the purchase of new computers is not planned. The tests will be administered on the equipment of schools located in the participating cities.

This fact will occur, as the MEC reports that the objective of the following exams will be based on the adequacy of the “New High School”.
