The head of the federal executive announced during an event in Rio Grande do Norte that the benefit will continue to be paid until December 2020, without providing many details.
According to the O Globo Newspaper, The president should soon announce that four more installments will be paid in September, October, November and December, of R$1,400.00 each.
These details will be included in the Provisional Measure that will be sent to Congress in the coming days. The information was provided to the newspaper O Globo by sources close to the Planalto Palace.
The Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, defended that the extension should be in installments of R$ 200.00, but this value was considered low and so a middle ground was considered, since parliamentarians defended that the value should remain at R$ 600.00.
The government's economic team recognized that Brazilians still need help to get through the crisis caused by the new coronavirus pandemic.
However, emergency aid costs R$1,400,000 each month, so the team began to advocate for smaller installments.
For the new value to be official, Bolsonaro's support base must work to have the MP approved by the National Congress.
Payment of the fifth installment
Payment of the fifth installment of emergency aid, currently worth R$$ 600.00, began on August 18 for Bolsa Família beneficiaries.
In turn, those who registered through the website or app will start receiving the fifth installment from August 28th.
Remembering that the amount is deposited directly into Caixa's digital social account, and is then moved through the Caixa Tem app.
The payment schedule for the fifth installment of emergency aid for Bolsa Família beneficiaries runs until August 31. Once again, the schedule was established based on the last digit of the Social Identification Number (NIS).
