THE The PEC (Proposed Constitutional Amendment) on subsidies was approved. last night (13) in the Chamber of Deputies. Its main changes were: 

• Increase in the value of Auxílio Brasil to R$600.00;
• Eliminate the waiting list for benefit approval;
• Increase in the value of the Gas Subsidy;
• Approval of aid for truck drivers and taxi drivers.

First, we will talk about the increase in the value of the Brazil Aid. The current value of this benefit is still R$1,400.00.

However, with the Provisional Measure, the minimum amount of R$600.00 will be paid until December 2022. 

The new fight of some defenders of the R$$600.00 Brazil Aid is to have this amount take effect before the end of the year. 

For now, it is temporary; if it does not become permanent, starting in January 2023 beneficiaries will return to receiving the current amount of R$400.00.

In addition to increasing the amount, the PEC also eliminates the waiting list for CadÚnico. In other words, the list of registered families awaiting inclusion in the Auxílio Brasil program. 

Due to delays in approval, the new amount will only begin to be paid in August, according to the current schedule. 

It's worth noting that the increase is automatic; you don't need to register or do anything like that.

However, if any of your information is outdated, be sure to visit a CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) in your city to update it.

This way you avoid having your benefit blocked. 

About Vale-Gás

The Gas Voucher also underwent positive changes. Previously, only half the cost of a domestic gas cylinder was paid every two months. 

However, the full amount will now be paid, and new families will begin receiving it in the coming months. 

The Gas Voucher is a right for all families who receive Auxílio Brasil, however, in practice, not even half of these families are receiving it.

Regarding Truck Driver Assistance

According to the government, the Truck Driver Aid is intended to mitigate the impacts on the modality, caused by the rise in the price of diesel. 

Truck drivers registered with the RNTRC, a registry maintained by ANTT, will be entitled to the benefit, from which it is possible to control who will receive the aid. 

Now, there is no point in rushing to register as a freight driver, as this year's aid will only be paid to drivers who registered by May 31, 2022.

The goal is to prevent the improper payment of aid to people who have recently registered. 

The benefit amount will be R$1,000 and it extends to truck drivers and taxi drivers.

The R$$600 Brazil Aid payment will begin in August and will last until December, meaning it will be paid for 5 months at this amount. 

If the value becomes effective, it will extend beyond December, but it is not yet permanent; it is part of a provisional measure.
