According to the Minister of Citizenship, Onyx Lorenzoni, even if there are previous debts in the account, the amount deposited will be protected.

"Emergency aid is for people's livelihoods. The Brazilian system, through Febraban, made this agreement," he said.

Starting Thursday, the amount will begin to be deposited into the accounts of Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil customers.

Furthermore, according to the president of Caixa, anyone who has an account at another bank will be able to receive the R$$ 600.00 aid without paying for the transfer.

Furthermore, the law that created the emergency aid established some rules regarding digital savings accounts, which is where the installments will be deposited:

  • It is not necessary to present any documents to open this savings account;
  • There is no charge for fees or account maintenance;
  • It is possible to make a completely free transfer to another bank once a month;
  • Prohibits the issuance of physical cards, checks or payment orders for savings transactions.
