Beneficiary may have emergency aid canceled starting from the 3rd installment
The 3rd installment of emergency aid has already started to be paid on Friday (18), for those born in the month of January. However, some people may end up not receiving the benefit in this phase, as the Federal Government has started a thorough review of the list of beneficiaries.

In this round, the deposited money will be available in the Digital Social Savings account and can only be withdrawn from July 1st onwards. The amounts to be received vary between R$150.00 and R$375.00.
Those born in January receive the benefit first. For those born in December, the last group to receive the aid, payments end on June 30th.
Those who registered to receive the benefit back in 2020 are informal workers, individual micro-entrepreneurs, self-employed individuals, and those registered in the CadÚnico (Single Registry for Social Programs).
Cuts in emergency aid payments
If the beneficiary has not received the payment, the reason may be an action by the Federal Government. An investigation into the aid payments was recently initiated.
The measure was taken after the Federal Audit Court (TCU) reported on the improper payments.
According to the TCU (Brazilian Federal Court of Accounts), more than R$ 54 billion was paid to ineligible beneficiaries. Citizens who are not part of the group selected to receive the aid will have to return the money.
The TCU also analyzed the information provided by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).
Based on this analysis, approximately 1.7 million benefits paid irregularly or improperly have already been cancelled.
