For this year, the minimum installment is R$ 150.00 and the maximum is R$ 375.00. Regarding the requirements for granting the concession, new changes have also been implemented.
Therefore, the public needs to pay attention to the new eligibility criteria. Although this aid is aimed at low-income individuals, not everyone who meets this requirement will be eligible.
Who will receive it?
- Informal workers and beneficiaries of the Bolsa Família program;
- People who received the benefit in 2020;
- People who have an income of up to half the minimum wage per person, that is, R$ 550.00;
- People who have an income of up to three minimum monthly wages per family, that is, R$ 3,300.00
Budget cuts
In 2020, the total number of beneficiaries of emergency aid was approximately 60 million people. For the year 2021, only 40 million people will receive the aid.
Who is excluded from the 2021 emergency aid?
- Formal workers, who have a signed work contract;
- Those who received the aid in 2020 but did not withdraw the money;
- People under the age of 18, except mothers;
- Who had their 2020 aid cancelled;
- Those who receive benefits from the INSS (Brazilian National Social Security Institute) or participate in the income transfer program;
- Anyone who, on December 31, 2019, owned property worth more than R$ 30 thousand;
- Anyone who had taxable income above R$ 28,559.70 in 2019.
It is therefore worth mentioning that the Ministry of Citizenship will not open a new registration for those who have been laid off in recent months.
Therefore, this means that a portion of the population will not receive emergency aid.
