Basically, this amount is a payment charged to the INSS (Brazilian National Social Security Institute) by those who have had social security problems, such as:

  • Delays in granting the permits;
  • Calculation errors.

According to the report released by the Federal Justice Council, approximately 72,000 retirees, pensioners, and other Brazilians related to the agency who began the process of reviewing and granting some type of social security benefit were included.

The value of payments per citizen was up to 60 minimum wages, that is, R$ 66 thousand.

How can I check if my payment has been approved?

The information is available online; simply visit the website of the Regional Federal Court responsible for the location where the lawsuit was filed.

Using the process number, you can simply check and see if it has been accepted or if it is still under validation.

After monitoring the progress of the process, still on the TRF website, click on "requirements and payments" and enter your CPF number. Then, go to "procedure".

If PRC appears, it means your debt exceeds 60 minimum wages. Therefore, your payment should be released as a court-ordered payment (precatório) by the INSS (Brazilian National Social Security Institute).
