Jobs in Brazil that created the most vacancies

Initially, the jobs that created the most vacancies in Brazil were those related to operational activities.

In fact, entry-level career opportunities with lower average salaries were responsible for the majority of signed contracts in the last 11 months of 2019.

However, manager and supervisor positions were the ones that lost the most jobs.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the first place in the ranking of formal jobs with a signed contract is in the production line sector, within the list it represents 114,112 new jobs in Brazil.

This segment brings together people who work in industries in the production sector and carry out activities such as supplying production lines, organizing the service area and also feeding the machines.

According to this table, it is important to highlight that in second place in job creation are clerks who perform the activities of agents, assistants and administrative assistants, with 109,640 vacancies.

And in third place in the ranking, with 107,579 new vacancies are salespeople.

Job openings in Brazil in 2020

Totaling 596 occupations, 948 thousand formal job vacancies were generated by Brazil from the beginning of January to November of 2019.

The data also reveals that 343 occupations hired more than they fired last year.

Rightly so, this was the best result Brazil has had in job creation since 2013.

Another point to note is that November (2019) closed with 39.36 million formal jobs created. In 2018, this number was 38.75 million. In other words, this represents a very positive balance for the Brazilian economy.

However, Brazil is still far from reaching the level of R$41.3 million jobs that were achieved in 2014.

It is also important to note that in 2019, Brazil broke the record for informal jobs; in 2020, an improvement in the development of the country's formal labor market is expected.

For the Trends Consultancy, there is a projection of the creation of formal jobs in the region of 1 million in 2020.

In short, analysts at financial institutions also say that GDP will grow by 2.3% in 2020. This was data from a survey conducted by the Central Bank.

In conclusion, Brazil is still experiencing a slow economic recovery, and it is common for lower-wage and operational activities to lead the way in job creation.

“The recovery is happening from positions with lower professional pay,” says Carlos Honorato, economic consultant at FIA and Saint Pau
