How will the anniversary withdrawal from inactive accounts work?
Firstly, the worker who requests the Guarantee Fund through the service will be able to transfer the money to a Caixa Econômica Federal account or to another financial institution, completely free of charge.
Another point is that it will also be possible to check the FGTS funds released for withdrawal. You can even upload documents and track the entire process from request to withdrawal release.
It's worth noting that it also allows you to check your account balance and statements, as well as choose between the Termination Withdrawal or Anniversary Withdrawal system. You can even register for the SMS service and access a frequently asked questions section.
How do I sign up for the Digital FGTS Anniversary Withdrawal?
Sequentially, the digital FGTS will be available in two versions: immediate withdrawal and anniversary withdrawal.
Immediate withdrawal
The Federal Government initially released R$1,400,000 (approximately R$27.5 billion) of Immediate Withdrawal funds by February 14. Thus, approximately 59 million workers have already received their funds this year alone.
Last year alone, the amount released to each person registered in the scheme was R$$998.00. However, those who have not yet withdrawn the money from their account can do so this year until March 31st.
Only during these withdrawal periods, the Box served approximately 62% of those 96 million people! This means the app aims to reduce the number of people at agencies to speed up the process.
Another important fact to consider regarding the immediate withdrawal is that 65% of the R$$42.6 billion initially planned has already been released.
Anniversary withdrawal
For more than 2.3 million workers who chose to receive the anniversary withdrawal, they will be able to withdraw it through the app, annually, in the month of their birthday.
It is important to remember that when choosing this withdrawal method, the worker will not be able to withdraw money from the FGTS after dismissal or termination of the employment contract for just cause.
In conclusion, the option for the withdrawal system is voluntary and can be done either through the app or at bank branches and lottery outlets.
