Unemployment insurance payments begin to be made into digital savings accounts.
Starting this Tuesday (20), the Government will begin depositing unemployment insurance into the digital social savings account automatically opened in the name of workers who do not have an account at Caixa Econômica Federal and have not indicated another account for payment of the benefit.

Therefore, the measure aims to facilitate aid payments, especially after the worsening of the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil.
Digital payment of the benefit is yet another option for those entitled to unemployment insurance. Therefore, all previously available options for accessing the benefit remain valid, meaning deposits into Caixa accounts or other financial institutions.
The digital savings account is free through the Caixa Tem app and is available to individuals over 18 years of age with a valid CPF (Brazilian taxpayer ID) registered with the Federal Revenue Service.
Through the app, workers will be able to pay all bills and invoices, transfer funds, or even generate passwords to withdraw benefits.
