This aims to protect the most vulnerable during the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. But how do you register?
According to the Minister of Citizenship, Onyx Lorenzoni, starting Tuesday (7) the government will release an application, in conjunction with Caixa Econômica Federal, so that workers can register and thus receive emergency aid.
According to the Minister of Citizenship: "There will be no fees or charges and it will allow people to register online or via cell phone, so that, within 48 hours, those who meet all the requirements will have the funds credited by Caixa, Banco do Brasil and the private banking network."
Onyx Lorenzoni also reported that the application will also aim to collect information from people who are not registered in the Single Registry, individual taxpayers and individual microentrepreneurs.
Therefore, if a citizen registers on the app, already registered in CadÚnico, the app will inform them that they are already in the database.
Furthermore, the city minister informed that those eligible, and who are already registered in the Single Registry, have a payment schedule that will probably be announced on Tuesday or Wednesday.
This way, citizens can rest assured, as the Federal Government is truly committed to paying this 600 reais benefit.
Who can receive emergency aid?
According to the published text, during the 3-month period, the amount of R$ 600.00 will be given to workers who simultaneously meet the requirements below:
- Be over 18 years old;
- Not having a formal job with a signed contract;
- The monthly per capita income is up to half the minimum wage or the total monthly family income is up to 3 minimum wages;
- Do not be the holder of any type of social security or welfare benefit, unemployment insurance benefit or family income transfer program, except for Bolsa Família;
- You cannot have received income in 2018 that was greater than R$ 28,559.70.
Therefore, if any of the above requirements are not met, the aid will be cut off immediately.
In addition to the points mentioned, the text also highlights that the worker must perform the activity under the condition of:
- Individual Micro Entrepreneur (MEI);
- Informal worker, whether employed or self-employed, registered in the Single Registry for Government Social Programs, up to March 20, 2020, who meets the monthly family income requirements mentioned above;
- Individual contributor to the General Social Security Regime who is self-employed.
In fact, the proposal also states that only two people from the same family will be able to simultaneously receive emergency aid and the Bolsa Família benefit, which can be temporarily replaced by the amount of R$ 600.00, if the amount of aid is more advantageous for the beneficiary.
